I haven't heard their other projects but have enjoyed this since it came out. Somehow manages to give tribute without descending into parody or overshadowing. Luther Wright & the Wrong's bluegrass version of The Wall album is so tight that it loses warmth and humour; no worries of that here.

I love this. It takes me back to 1979/80 when I was in my last year of uni and voraciously experiencing other lives before joining the world of work. I went through a phase of Dub music and experimenting with lots of new things. Happy days.

Exactly.  He was very popular in the '80s.  In fact I thought that this was an old Augustus Pablo track until I saw the album date is 2014 and Pablo died several years ago (I just checked and it was 1999).

He played a little plastic hand-held instrument that you blew into, about the size of a recorder, but rather than finger holes it had a small piano-like keyboard.
