All you got is this moment
The twenty-first century's yesterday
You can care all you want
Everybody does yeah that's okay

So slide over here
And give me a moment
Your moves are so raw
I've got to let you know
I've got to let you know
You're one of my kind

I need you tonight
'Cause I'm not sleeping
There's something about you boy
That makes me sweat

How do you feel?
I'm lonely
What do you think?
Can't take it all
What you gonna do?
Gonna live my life

I need you tonight
'Cause I'm not sleeping boy
There's something about you baby
That makes me sweat

How do you feel?
I'm lonely
What do you think?
Can't take it all
What you gonna do?
Gonna live my life

I'm lonely

Please make this stop. I love her, but it sounds like she is just mailing in this cover.

You are tired.  I'll give you that.
I love Bonnie and think she's done some spectacular covers (I even prefer her version of Midway to Joni's original), but this is blergh on a cellular level.

As someone who rates far, far more songs positively than negatively, and who usually only comments on songs that I appreciate, this rendition moves me to kindly ask RP to take this off of the playlist (the only time that I’ve ever suggested that idea). Sorry, but I really don’t like anything about this cover, especially given how classic the original recording is.
She had me at 'So slide over here'... :)

just weird

And just why shouldn't an older woman act any way she pleases? I love it, personally (as an older woman myself).
Just noted that dict.leo.org doesn't know a proper translation for "Leichenfledderei". What a pity. Suggestions, anybody?

Agreed.

I've never been on a Carnival Cruise, so I wouldn't know about that.  This has good production and great guitar sound, but it otherwise does sound like something one might hear from a wedding band.
I realized it gets worse with repeated listenings...
I like Bonnie, but this cover is pretty lackluster.
Nice one .... keep on rockin Bonnie!

Oh come on, y'all don't get a KICK out of this cover?

Amen!!  Sloppy Nawlins blues meets polished Aussie rock!

Now, I'm going to lean back and dream that Ms. Raitt is singing this to me.
HOMMINA HOMMINA WOO HOO HOOOOOO!!!  (panting wolf emoji : )

Michael Hutchence is spinning in his grave so fast he could become an new source of energy..
OK, Bill, nice list.

First "JJ Cale: Devil in disguise".
Then "Ray  Wylie Hubbard: Conversation with the Devil".
And, lastly, "INXS: Devil inside".

And then you play "Bonnie Rait: I nedd you tonight" (a popular hit from INXS). {#Biggrin}

My ears think this is grim, sorry fans.  Perhaps it's because I like the original INXS stuff too much.

Huh. I like it. Didn't think I'd be in the minority, but ya never know.
This is not doing much for me, and I like Bonnie, but this is just so so.

There is a great INXS cover by Joe Cocker, I have attached the link below.

Butchered!

Not a bad song once you've stripped all the 80s out of it.
Marginal. Although she is just not my type.

not that I have any right to talk but that was cold,

Funny, that is exactly what I thought when I came across some of the hateful comments on this thread. Pretty over-the-top nastiness for an inoffensive cover of a throwaway pop song. It's 'I Need You Tonight' not 'Like a Rolling Stone' fer cryin' out loud.
Very good guitar playing on this track too, by the way.
Awful... blech... simply awful cover version. Rather hear a no-name garage cover band than this garbage!
Like it!{#Clap}
She's in heat and she's howling.  LET HER BE!
decent cover! {#Jump}
different enough {#Music}
I think Michael is turning over in his grave.

Awesome cover of INXS song is Joe Cocker doing Never Tear Us Apart.

The h8 is strong in this thread.  Vomitous and unseemly some might say.

For my part, I think this is an excellent interpretation and in line with Ms Raitt's efforts on recent albums to honor lost rock greats.

The song benefits from the Raitt treatment.

So much.

Yes sir, I do like it.

Excellent!
I think I really like this!

Dunno if this needed the Raitt treatment.
Not so much.
No, sir, I don't like it (and normally I like Bonnie).
Horrible
Oh just... no.

Another tune Raitt-raped.
This is kind of a cool rendition. I was thinking to myself, this sounds kind of familiar...then bingo!
I still like the original better though.
Ughh...really. Is this necessary?
