Stills solo is definitely an acquired taste. I do like this when I hear it. Not something I would play on purpose though. He is no stranger to jamming and stretching things out. There is a 9+ minute version of Bluebird from the Buffalo Springfield days where he goes crazy right about where the banjo would cut in on the regular version. And that's back when a 3 minute song would be considered long.

I like this entire album because I think there is a lot of great musicianship/songwriting on it, plus it brings back a lot of good memories of that time for me. I don't presume to know why "others" like it, but I would be willing to bet it's not really "because of the names on the album cover". Other than Chris Hillman, are those names even familiar to most listeners?

Not much on this album that I don't like. One of Stephen Stills' finest imo.
Not sure I've ever heard this before, and didn't recognize the voice, but I know I've never slapped a 1 on a song any faster. That was horrible, and I only made it 30 seconds.

REALLY GOOD STUFF MAYBE STILLS BEST / DOUBLE ALBUM AND COVERS BOUT ALL OF THE GENRES HE LIKES TO PLAY

Yeah, Stills always sounds just a little bit sharp. It makes his singing distinctive. Kinda like George Harrison's guitar.

I absolutely love this era of Stills. (1970 Stills, '71 Stephen Stills 2, '72 Manassas, '73 Manassas - Down the Road ,'75 Stills), 5 great albums plus others (this one maybe the best) that just didn't seem to get the credit (at least I felt) they were due. Certainly not the airplay! Thanks Bill!!!

Ok, the extensive jam raised this to a six. Barely.
I saw CSN a couple of weeks ago and Stephen can still wail! Nash has found an old tape of Stills and Hendrix jamming and is planning to release it. Can't wait to hear it! The old man can still RAWK.
