If you won't
Carry a gun
And if you won't
Learn to run

Hide from the world
It will come for you
You have no place in this time

If you won't
Carry a gun
And if you won't
Learn to run

Hide from the world
It will come for you
You have no place in this time

And it's the cars on the highway
It's the drunks singing 'my way'
We're all caught in a hidden camera show
And it's the thrill of deception
It's the chill of rejection
In the faces of the people we don't know

If you love
Bury it deep
When you talk
Know that talk is cheap
Swallow your tongue
This is not your fight
It's braver sometimes just to run

And it's the cars on the highway
It's the drunks singing 'my way'
We're all caught in a hidden camera show

And it's the cars on the highway
It's the drunks singing 'my way'
We're all caught in a hidden camera show
And it's the blink of a shutter
It's the hitman in the gutter
We're all caught in a hidden camera show
And I close my eyes
Turn my face to the sky
I won't smile for your hidden camera show

I first saw Tom live in 2004 I think and this album was good, but never fully did it for me in the same way as seeing him live, until recently. A good amp and headphones really brings this album up to its full potential.

There's so much detail and atmosphere that's missed on a cheaper system.
Ooh I forgot how much I like this song - met Tom at the local HMV doing an in-store.  Back in the day... He was very pleasant despite apparently having a bad day and signed my CD.  Totally showing my age...

Or Candid Camera.  Or was that canceled?  Never mind.

It is well worth it; a very talented musician.

He doesn't sound like a woman, he sounds like a wuss.  Its cool to sound like a wuss right now, didn't you know?

Unmistakeable voice, however the whole package lacks 'body' doesn't it?

He does come from Chemsford, so you may have a point.
BTW, I like the cello.

Everytie this is played on RP I find it more and more annoying.
First of all, it sounds like he\'s singing through a megaphone. Secondly, somebody\'s gotta let go of his spheroids - maybe the pipes\'ll come down an octave or so. Really, not too bad, though.
I like this more every time I hear it ....
The lyrics could use a lot of work
Just picked up this disc this past weekend...really nice.
