Going down in it (2x)
Kinda like a cloud I was up way up in the sky
And I was feeling some feelings you wouldn't believe
Sometimes I don't believe them myself
And I decided I was never coming down
Just then a tiny little dot
Caught my eye it was just about too small to see
But I watched it way too long
It was pulling me down

I was up above it (2x)
Now I'm down in it
I was up above it (2x)
Now I'm down in it

Shut up!
So what, what does it matter now?
I was swimming in the haze now I crawl on the ground
And everything I never liked about you is kinda seeping into me
Try to laugh about it now but isn't it funny how everything works out
"I guess the joke's on me," she said

I was up above it (2x)
Now I'm down in it
I was up above it (2x)
Now I'm down in it

I used to be so big and strong!
I used to know my right from wrong!
I used to never be afraid!
I used to be somebody!
I used to have something inside!
Now it's just this hole that's open wide!
I used to want it all!
I used to be somebody..

I'll cross my heart I'll hope to die
But the needle's already in my eye
And all the world's weight is on my back
And I don't even know why
What I used to think was me
Is just a fading memory
I looked him right in the eye and said "Goodbye"

I was up above it (2x)
Now I'm down in it (2x)
I was up above it (2x)
Now I'm down in it
I was up above it (2x)
Now I'm down in it
I was up above it

Rain rain go away come again some other day (4x)

I was up above it (2x)
Now I'm down in it ... nenene
I was up above it
Now I'm down in it

I don't know, man, this just sounds kinda cheesy musically. Lyrically, he's just sorta mad at being mad. NIN never did much for me.
Not enough NIN or FNM and no Suzerain whatsovever - I'll definitely be submitting a few tunes from this awesome London band!

I used to think the same thing... Then I listened to the Fragile a few times. Now I agree that Trent is a genius! :)

Yes!! Yes!! Yes!! More NIN please! Great Monday song!
Classic definitely. But, I would rather here \"Piggy\" off of Downward Spiral or \"That\'s What I Get\" off of Pretty Hate Machine. They feel a little more RP to me. Keep up the good work!
Oh man. Unbelievably bad. I cannot believe NIN is being played here. \"Rain rain, go away come again some other day\"? This song needs to go away and come again never.
You GO Bill! :D Reminds me of my college dancing days
Dude... you deign to play a NIN song, and you pick this one, one of the most asinine NIN songs there is? For other selections that probably wouldn\'t be too hard for RP, try stuff off _The Fragile_, like \"The Day the Whole World Went Away\" (which received some radio play and isn\'t my favorite song) or \"The Great Below\". There are some great instrumental tracks that might mesh well here, like \"A Warm Place\" off _The Downward Spiral_. You could probably safely avoid _Broken_, although a tune like \"Wish\" or \"Happiness in Slavery\" would do well sandwiched between some Sarah McLachlan and some Grateful Dead. heh.
I\'ve seen NIN live a couple of times, once on tour with David Bowie. Very energetic performers, to say the least ... and lots of fishnet.
Wow. I never expected to hear _this_ song. I like it!
