Actually, as noted earlier, it's Robert Palmer, Andy Taylor, John Taylor, and Tony Thompson (formerly, of Chic, which might explain how he got involved). Nile Rodgers produced it, I believe.

I hate to split hairs BUT THIS IS NOT ROBERT PALMER This is POWERSTATION!! RObert Palmer was the lead singer for Powerstation And a mighty fine song it is, with great guitar by Andy Taylor, and fabulous bass by John Taylor.

How about something off of Pride or Clues? Most folks have probably never heard either of them, but they were pretty progressive and experimental in their day, when tecno was new, and he was blending it with island sounds. What a tragic loss for all of us baby boomers, as well as those who may only now discover him...there is a lot more there besides Addicted to Love. : :(

Just heard Robert Palmer died last night of a heart attack. Sorry to hear that. Now I hear George Plimpton has passed as well (in know that's not music news but i did grow up reading his books and articles) *whew* So many artists I grew up listening to and reading about are now gone... I am feeling old.

I guess we will be hearing a lot of Robert Palmer today. And I think that is good. It is good to remember someone. To walk down memory lane. Smile at what an artist has left behind and the memories their music conjures up.

Andy Taylor, and my husband since I was about 12, John Taylor. Also, you can't really call it a Robert Palmer song because when the band Powerstation finally did a tour to support their album, Palmer was busy recording his solo album and Michael DeBarres (sp?) fronted the band for the tour.
