Playing this song is a waste of time. Every minute that it goes on, I wish that Otis' version was playing instead. Otis Redding is one of those artists that just cannot be covered. Any attempt is a waste of time. You cannot improve on Otis Redding!!!

OH NO SUSANNA!!! There is a really tasty vers of this on a Delbert McClinton Live Record. This is just too slow, hollow and read-from-the-sheet. Should be a real torch to belt. Blech. <-(

Definitely gets points for courage in covering an Otis Redding song (especially one as heartfelt as this), but familiarity with the Otis version leaves this one sounding very weak, soulless, and, well, white.
