Way down among Brazilians
Coffee beans grow by the billions
So they've got to find those extra cups to fill
They've got an awful lot of coffee in Brazil

You can't get cherry soda
'Cause they've got to fill that quota
And the way things are I'll bet they never will
They've got a zillion tons of coffee in Brazil

No tea or tomato juice
You'll see no potato juice
The planters down in Santos all say no no no

The politician's daughter
Was accused of drinking water
And was fined a great big fifty dollar bill
They've got an awful lot of coffee in Brazil

You date a girl and find out later
She smells just like a percolator
Her perfume was made right on the grill
Why they could percolate the ocean in Brazil

And when their ham and eggs need savor
Coffee ketchup gives 'em flavor
Coffee pickles way outsell the dill
Why they put coffee in the coffee in Brazil

So your lead to the local color
Serving coffee with a cruller
Dunking doesn't take a lot of skill
They've got an awful lot of coffee in Brazil

You bet!!
Swank, baby!
i love this song, dumb lyrics and all...part of the charm.
Does anyone remember the Frank Sinatra email website...it would "translate" your emails into Frank-speak. If you wrote something like: Dear Jane: Are you free for lunch today? Then it would translate it like: Hey Kitten! Are you free to pitch some woo today? Loved It!
I should get spanked for this but it seems like Sinatra's career consisted of just one really long song.
good time for a cup o' joe

I don't remember Steve Martin reading the phone book, but Andy Kauffman read The Great Gatsby at one of his shows.
Gotta love Stan Ridgway's version of this one!!
Old & Busted.
I don't hear much old school punk here, but here's my Coffee Set contribution by the Descendants (and sung in an impressive 34 seconds). Still on regular rotation in my music library... Mug Mug Mug Coffee Mug Gonna Clear Away The Haze Liquid Proof That I Can Win This Race Coffee Mug The Grip That Keeps Me Tall My Inter-Link Keeps Me Questing All I Don't Need No Booze Or Drugs I Just Chug-A-Lug-O My Coffee Mug And I Don't Need Your Kiss And Hug I Just Chug-A-Lug-O My Coffee Mug They Haven't Banned My Liquid Drug Of Choice There's Too Many Hooked And They've Got Too Much Voice So For The Moment We're All Pretty Good To Go With 98 Cups With 98 More To Go I Don't Need No Booze Or Drugs I Just Chug-A-Lug-O My Coffee Mug And I Don't Need Your Kiss And Hug I Just Chug-A-Lug-O My Coffee Mug Here A Bean, There A Bean Everywhere A Mean Mean Bean Chug - A - Lug - O - My Coffee - Mug, Mug, Mug, M
Bizarre little song.
Just sat down with a freshly brewed cup o java, tuning in to this coffee "theme". Perfect.

I saw a bumper sticker one time that said "Kiss Her Where It Stinks.....Take her To Bergen County, New Jersey!"
Nice coffee set, but Bill missed my fave... Jim's Big Ego - Stress

Just because it's Frank doesn't excuse these stupid lyrics.

Great song,I just wish that the vocalist could sing and had a finer voice like Neil Youngs!
Is it possible to effectively segue from Radiohead's The Bends to Sinatra's Coffee Song within 4 tracks?
Little late in the afternoon for all this coffee, doncha think, Bill?
cool song, good to see we have some common grounds!har har!!!
I used to dislike Sinatra (mainly because he was my parents' generation's big star). Then I read an article about how good he is(1), and why. Then I started to listen to him, and then I began to appreciate what a terrific singer he is, and what terrific bands/arrangements are behind him. So now I like him. (1) (uh, Yeah, I know he's dead.)

Oh man I leave for a minute and I miss Frank. The disrespect.
Oops. I always thought this was a Soul Coughing song. My bad.
I never got Frank Sinatra. Is there something I am missing?
They really loved the blaring horns in those days, didn't they?
"...No tea or tomato juice You'll see no potato juice..." Potato juice? :-) too funny...
