Bagpipes! Bagpipes are good. Always.

Repetitive R.L.-Burnside-meets-"Frontier-Psychiatrist" vocal sample. Double not-good.

The uilleann pipes (/ˈɪlən/ or /ˈɪljən/; Irish: ) are the characteristic national bagpipe of Ireland. Earlier known in English as "union pipes", their current name is a partial translation of the Irish-language term píobaí uilleann (literally, "pipes of the elbow"), from their method of inflation.  The bag of the uilleann pipes is inflated by means of a small set of bellows strapped around the waist and the right arm (in the case of a right-handed player; in the case of a left-handed player the location and orientation of all components are reversed). The bellows not only relieve the player from the effort needed to blow into a bag to maintain pressure, they also allow relatively dry air to power the reeds, reducing the adverse effects of moisture on tuning and longevity. Some pipers can converse or sing while playing.

Bagpipes rarely work as a rock instrument but in this case I think they do. I'd like to hear more from the album/artists. Though I recognise that I may regret saying that.

This would be really good without those preposterous voice samples. When using a 'karaoke' or 'voice removal' filter like in XMMS, they disappear completely, but it makes the music sound weird too.

As a surviving child of the 60's fun, I love this song and have been playing it over and over on my iPod. Got the title from Bill so I will get the CD. Infectious rhythm, bagpipes doing fiddle tunes, and a totally non-sequitar vocal makes this a classic in my library. Intellectual music that comes from the gut. No music channel for that these days, 'cept for good ol RP
