My dad started listening to the Preservation Hall Band back in the 60s. Boy do I wish I still had the records! He went to see them in 1989 in New Orleans and got them to autograph their new (at the time) album. Back then a lot of the original members were still alive (the Humphrey brothers, etc.). The band is different now but still putting out great music!
A Sing! Sing! Sing! variant done by the Preservation Hall Jazz Band!
God my neighbors are hating me for blasting this right now.

Yeah, you're sitting absolutely still as you listen to this right now. Sure you are.
A little bird outside is repeating its 2-note tune perfectly in sync with the rhythm of this song, even though there is no way it can hear it. This is surreal.
A set of horns in the hands and mouths of skilled musical artists is a wonder to behold, at least for my ears!  I love this on first listen!
I hear this song on RP more than any other....
Oh, man, that is so good!
How is it still legal??
Dang! This is fun! And it made me stop what I was doing in order to dance.

Kinda perverse playing this after Outside of Cool, in my opinion.

Perverse? No. Open minded.

The art of noise.
If you go to New Orleans a show at Preservation Hall is a MUST.
Tiny intimate venue, no AC but worth every penny!!

That is a serious stretch of triple-tonguing the trumpet. Props!

Yes! Too Funny!  GREAT TUNE!!
there are very few things about NOLA I miss. The Music scene is one of them.

Differently odd. More Tuba! I'll take it.
