What you gonna do - When the river runs dry
Put your drills in the mud - Death up in the sky
Should have saved those bottles -
Should have saved those cans
Shouldn't ought'a listen to the plastic man
No more toilet papet - It's gone just like the trees
Do you like the taste of honey - Isn't it best without the bees
Be careful what you're doing - You're messing up my life
And if all this world's a cake - Then you took too big a slice

What's it all about - They scream and then they shout
Don't ask me - Cause I don't know (I don't know)
What's it all about - They scream and then they shout
Don't blame me - I told you so

Read it in the papers - You hear it in the news
Very few listen - A spew without a view
And is it really worth it - You're choking on remote
I see the red tide coming - But we don't even vote
Infection in the greenhouse - Dizzy in the clouds
Oily as an ocean - Heaven disemboweled
Planning on a future - Well lucky for some
Develop your body - But your mind is still a slum

What's it all about - They scream and then they shout
Don't ask me - Cause I don't know
What's it all about - They scream and then they shout (Well don't ask me)
Don't blame me - I told you so (Middle-age)

The product in the packaging
Of multi-layered glam
150 layers of materials
To cover up a sham
Protecting my planet
Wrap it in plastic
This package is product
Perfected eternal
A crap in a cling wrap
I never met yet a prime minister or president
Who told the truth yet

Swimming in the slurry
Burning in the heat
Wind blown is this weather
I eat what you secrete
I climb this highest derrick
This circus has no prayer
No UFO to save us
And do we really care

What's it all about - They scream and then they shout (Do we really care)
Don't ask me - Cause I don't know
What's it all about - They scream and then they shout
Don't blame me - I told you so

What's it all about - They scream and then they shout (No UFO to save us)
Don't ask me - Cause I don't know
What's it all about - They scream and then they shout (No fun, no religion)
Don't blame me - I told you so

What's it all about - They scream and then they shout
Don't ask me - Cause I don't know
What's it all about - They scream and then they shout (Climb this highest derrick)
Don't blame me - I told you so

Kiss goodbye to the Earth, the sun, the moon

It's easy to decieve a child.

Great Band!!!
"Don't Ask Me" - from back in the days of old Thatcher, Reagan and Bush, now there's this dumb fuck

"...A crap in a cling wrap

Rumor has it they're coming back for more fun-

>>John Lydon, the guy that used to front the Sex Pistols and go by Johnny Rotten, has announced that his band Public Image Ltd. will release a new album titled This Is PiL at some point in 2012. NME reported yesterday that the Lydon-fronted art-punks have been working on the album for the past two years. It will be their first since 1992's That What Is Not.

Lydon talked to BBC 6Music about the album, where he said he had to tour for two years to raise funds to cover the recording costs.

"I was always full of ideas, but I had to wait until I had enough money to release an album," Lydon told the BBC. "Everybody thinks I made such a fortune with the Sex Pistols. Well, unfortunately that is not true."

No mistaking that voice! {#War}

Holiday In The Sun (Excerpt)
(as done by The Sex Pistols)

A cheap holiday in other peoples misery!

I don't wanna holiday in the sun,
I wanna go to new Belsen,
I wanna see some history,
'Cause now I got a reasonable economy!

Now I got a reason, now I got a reason now I got a reason and I'm still waiting,
Now I got a reason now I got reason to be waiting: the Berlin wall!

Sen-surround sound in a two inch wall,
And I was waiting for the communist call,
I didn't ask for sunshine and I got world war three,
I'm looking over the wall,
And they're looking at me!

Sound familiar, folks?

i am so jealous. green.envy.jealous.

Interrogation music!
It's Johnny taking the Chumbawumba route... :-)
Oh no its the B-52s guy singing without his girlfriends............{#Stop}
There is no excuse for playing this.
PIL on RP! How cool is THIS?? (Damn, CafeRacer...I didn't know they were in Cinci back then....at Bogarts? Wish I could've gone!)

Whoops! I forgot that I told that story here awhile ago!
WHOLLY COW I also saw PIL with New Order and the Sugar Cubes nearly 20 years ago!! In NJ!! They were great then...its good to hear from them again...what has johnny rotten been up to?........
I got to see them in Cincinnati back in 1987, I think. People were throwing coins at Lydon (which made him a bit snarky) and I got to shake his hand. All in all a great show.
This is so rrrrrrrright! And grrrrand!
While I prefer "this is not a love song" and "Rules and Regulations" off this album, I'm pleased to hear something from PIL on RP. Maybe someone will upload another.
For those of you who can't read the fine print: The small headed three-eyed space monsters kindly agree to spare the earth & withdraw their fleet in exchange for eleven metric tons of PiL's greatest hits so far.
...public image limited!.. ...haven't heard them in at least a decade, in fact i'd recently wondered ever what became of them...

Interesting . . . . I am not certain what to think!

I'm sorry I missed that show.
Wow. I'm confused but intrigued. Might have to give another listen.
I got to see PIL in Cincinnati about 20 years ago. I think the show was actually on Thanksgiving. What a great performance and I actually got to shake Johnny's hand. I haven't washed it since.
Long Live the 120 minutes legacy!!!
Makes me think of the kid\'s song \"I am the Package Man\". \"Make it boxadacious, packastrophic, really swell / a cookie\'s just a cookie, it\'s the package that\'ll sell!!\"
It\'s great to hear PiL on RP. Would love to hear something from their brooding masterpiece, Second Edition.
I thought this was Adam Sandler at first, singing in his funny voices, like the vampire.
His rap reminds of the one on Dire Straits'Industrial Disease and AC/DC's I've Got Big Balls.
I never heard of PiL until I saw them open for INXS many years ago. Fabulous show! Been a favorite ever since. I uploaded this song - thinking it might pass the LRC scrutiny..I got lucky. Johnny RAWKS!

But just barely. First Edition by P.I.L. - 1979. And this?? This belated, hamfisted, clunky attempt at a pop song is the only P.I.L. on the playlist? A blot on the memory of the Pistols and early P.I.L. Bah humbug.
