Where you're going has no signs
And you're not going in a straight line
You ought to have me on your mind
I dare you to think otherwise

One day the water, more water
You keep diving and you won't be recovered
You need a clue, I'll come in closer
I want to tell you, you've had it coming

Eyes on the prize, reboot the mission
I've lost my sight, but not the vision
Eyes on the prize, reboot the mission
I lost my sight, but not the vision

Move your body, look alive
Oh don't you think it wants out some time
It's even better than you've implied
Dice on the table, let it ride

The movie's showing over the buildings
Midnight shifts just beginning
Oh let your hair down, I watch you singing
I've got to say, you had it coming

Eyes on the prize, reboot the mission
I've lost my sight, but not the vision
Eyes on the prize, reboot the mission
I lost my sight, but not the vision

No matter how you use it, which way you swing
Even the longest day at some point ends
I'll throw your shoes off, hat in the ring
Show me a hookshot, the whole thing

Welcome Jack, the new drummer
He jammed with the mighty Joe Strummer
I see Rami, Greg, Stewart
I gotta say, Jay, we've had it coming

Eyes on the prize, reboot the mission
I've lost my sight, but not the vision
Eyes on the prize, reboot the mission
I lost my sight, but not the vision

Could the "with Mick Jones" have anything to do with it sounding like The Clash??

Rock and Roll? No.
Paper thin garbage? Yes.

This is a simple, well crafted, Clash-style song with a helluva hook to pay homage to the late, great Joe Strummer.

I wonder what came first. The hook or "Hey, lets write a tribute to Joe!"
I can hear Joe singing this in place of Jakob
This song reminds me of The Clash :)
We can always find patterns and old recipes ... in Everything. What matters is how the new one is blended. I love this tune. Gets me movin.

RP is always good for new world records: this time: the biggest musical hole between two songs possible:

1) Once in a Lifetime  / Talking Heads - one of the best songs of all time
2) The Wallflowers - Reboot the Misssion - one of the most terrible musical crap ever heard
3) Led Z. - Your Time-- Mountain side  - world class, again

Haha!  Thanks for the laugh this morning!
Indeed, the vocal resemblance is there, and it's very very real!

"--Is that a real poncho, or a Sears poncho?"
"--There's always Khola Plankton...Him and me can play The Blues...and then I'll watch him buff that ... little ruby that he use...and then he'll straighten up his turban...and inject a little ooze...along a one-celled Hammond Organism...underneath my shoe..."

My friend Jeff(rhtymn guitarist in our band)was a big Clash fan.He talked me and my wife into seeing Carbon/Silicone(Mick Jones' solo project back a couple of years ago)in KC.After the show when we were leaving Mick was seen going into his tour bus.Jeff ran over and talked to him for about 2-3 minutes......and when he came back to the car you could see in his eyes....his life was complete.Mick took a few minutes and made Jeff's night. Thanks Mick!

Little bit of Radio Clash.
music - good.  lyrics & vocals - horrendous.  {#Cowboy}
Like this more and more each time I hear it.

Yeah, I guess having a corpse in the band could be considered having an edge...
Killer tune to have on the i-pod for hiking!!
Always keep your eyes on your fries!

You still listen to commercial radio? Brave soul.

Jack Irons on drums....love his beats
Don't know 'bout no Wallflowers, but this tune is terrifically Clash-esque.  Looks like Bill's got a Clash tune right behind it just to show.
Catchy tune!
First time I heard this, I thought, "Really, Wallflowers? This is your new sound?"

But now, the song is growing on me, and now my attitude is, "Welcome back, Wallflowers."

Now I just need to hear the rest of the album...
Damn Good!{#Bananajumprope}
Surely he picked some Devendra Banhart style...
