We are all here in the act of creation
Let's fly away on our imagination
You take me to the highest heights
And into the depths of the deepest abyss

When I am dreaming, I don't know if
I'm truly asleep or if I'm awake
And when I get up, I don't know if I'm
Truly awake or if I'm still dreaming

Dream, Dream, Dream, Dream, life is
But a dream
Traveling the waves of an infinite ocean
I feel the deepest emotion
I see a shadow of reality
Please hold me closely and take me away

I'm the first person
You're the second person
Earlier today I was in the third person
Stop cursing, start diversing
Oedipus is bliss
The sunshine will affect your mind
Stretch it out, don't doubt the amount
My brain is caught
I'm just blessed
Trip hoppin' so I flow like a stream
It's just a dream

When you listen to an "eclectic" radio station, you take the good with the... this.
Even pipes can’t save this POS
Pipes! Yes!
The start of this song reminds me of Flight of the Conchords
Is this the band ‘trout fishing in America’ ?
Make it stop!
Scratchy guitar and bagpipes! Yay!
This song exemplifies the need for a FUN rating -- the song is just fun to listen to!
Holy cow.... rating of 5.  Must have been because of FM pop stations playing it into the ground back in 1997.  I do think without that problem, this song might have scored a lot better.  It's really not that bad.

One of these sounds is not like the others,
One of these sounds doesn't belong,
Can you tell which sound is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?

Did you guess which sound was not like the others?
Did you guess which sound doesn't belong?
If you guessed this sound is not like the others,
Then you're absolutely right!
Because three of them were coconuts
And the other one was Ernie's rubber duckie

As a data nerd, I'm always fascinated by songs like this that *don't* have the typical Gaussian ratings curve that  most of the songs do. I've got this as a 5, but I can understand the 2s and the 7s just as well.

Don't quite understand all the whining. Yes, it's bonkers, but good bonkers. And dreams themselves can be pretty bonkers too, at least mine.

Not sure if this is whining part you were referring too but it's the best part of the song for me:

When I am dreaming, I don't know
If I'm truly asleep or if I'm awake
And when I get up, I don't know
If I'm truly awake or if I'm still dreaming

By "whining" I meant all the negative posts about this track.
And yes, the chorus is great.  Can't not sing along.

Where would you normally hear this if not here at RP? Please tell me, may I should go there.

Ha, I thought this might have been Flight of Conchords at first. Kind of disappointed that it isn't and that these guys are probably serious.

Not the worst weird remake I’ve ever heard, but I’m not sure why anyone thought it was necessary. (though apparently 19 people think this is a 10… RP forever!)
Sounds like techno Flight of the Conchords.
If  you hate bagpipes, I hate you. Just sayin'.

That's not to say that all bagpipe music is good. But if you hate the good bagpipe music, then there's something wrong with you. Very wrong. Deeply wrong. "If it sounds good, it is good" -- Peter Schickele.

Go figure. I would never have thought you'd like the pipes, SW.
BTW, I like them too.
Fun, for a listen, once.  But I would not be upset if I never heard it again...

National Geographic recently had a feature article on sleep.  They equate dreaming with madness/psychosis: our brain perceives things that are not real, yet we believe they are true, regardless of how bizarre they be.  Isn't this tune consistent with that?  Kinda bizarre, but very catchy.  {#Hearteyes}  Solid 8.

Perfect song for my A D D!
Oh dear! Awful! How can you guys even think this is playable? Please delete it from your playlist.
now, I just learned that I have a login here. Play this again and I'dd delete my account

Cant find this on Amazon or iTunes. Anyone know where I can buy it?
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Just terrible

What, no Yiddish?
Concur with earlier posters about trying too hard to cram too much stuff in. And, yes, it is like a parody along Flight of Concords line. I've heard way worse here, so 5 it is.
4.7 is too high for these ears, sorry.  PSD for me.

Hey, that's a sincere piece.
But I think they forgot the kitchen sink tub thumper and the digeridoo rapper from Tierra Del Fuego.

ummmmm...well......hmmmmmmm...uhhhhh....man it's hard to be nice sometimes
Guess it is possible to be too eclectic.  It's like they're trying too hard to include every type of music they could.  It's a fun song, but maybe a little too hodge podge.{#Ask}

Need a rating for "curious."
I appreciate RP branching out a bit, stretching it's musical wings... but this an experiment gone wrong. Can't take it.

Will have to hear it again. This one has the potential to grow on me. . .or not. Time will tell!

Its not flat at all, its bimodal.  You either hate it or you like it.   There are other songs with similar distributions in the RP library, but they aren't common.  Usually we are of one mind as a population.

Well, technically spoken a bimodal distribution is closer to a uniform distribution than a unimodal distribution {#Propeller}

The chorus with the bagpipes is pretty likable, but overall this sounds like they put everything they could put their hands on into a giant blender.

I think it's fun! Mostly because of the bagpipes. {#Music}
I would have given it a higher score but the cover typography is so bad, as a human being and graphic designer I have to subtract from their score.
The low ratings are because of the semi-cheesy 90s white-guy rap portion of it.  People shouldn't be so harsh: non-hip hop artists rarely do it right today, let alone did they do so back in 1997.

Wow, I love RP becuase it plays obscure music. However, I thought that I was the only person to ever listen to this song many years ago.
